She's worked countless red carpets, interviewing the hottest celebrities in showbiz, including: Oscar winners Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx, and Billy Bob Thornton, as well as Johnny Depp and singers Jessica Simpson Beyonce, and Dierks Bentley. Mia's also taken viewers behind the scenes of the CW's hit shows, visiting the sets of Smallville, Everwood, Reba, and One Tree Hill. She even appeared in an episode of the Gilmore Girls.
Mia loves fashion and film, producing and hosting weekly segments dedicated to both loves. In 2009 she executive produced and hosted a series of specials for her regular feature segment Mia's Style Files. She filed away the hottest trends in fashion and beauty in stylish high-energy fifteen and thirty minute television programs. A huge film fan Mia's also seen her other regular assignment Mia At The Movies expanded into a special and syndicated among the Tribune Broadcasting group.
Mia also covers more serious issues. In 2005 she spent the entire day at Reliant Parks as the first Katrina evacuees were brought by the busloads to Houston. She heard their horror stories and later retold them with great compassion in live reports picked up by Tribune broadcast affiliates across the country.
In 2006 a hard-hitting special report about the widespread abuse of the prescription drug Adderall, on college campuses, garnered her an Emmy nomination for feature news reporting.
